Looking Ahead to 2020: New Decade, New Treatments AND New Classes!

Happy New Year!

Firstly, a belated happy new year from Claire and me! We hope you all had a lovely break over the festive period.

A Little Bit of Resolve

January is a funny month. Too many people beat themselves up over “one too many” mince pies at Christmas. Whether it’s “Dry January”, getting yourself started at the gym or cutting out a food group, many of us end up burning out and ditching our resolutions come February.

This year, I’m going for a more sustainable goal: taking care of my wellbeing. For me, this involves small, manageable steps:

·  Making healthier food choices.

·  Focusing on exercise I actually enjoy.

·  Improving and maintaining my mobility.

But above all? Being kind to myself as I work towards these goals.

Ways to Wellbeing

If, like me, you’d like to look after your body and mind a little better in the coming year, why not sign up for Claire’s new Pilates classes?

Launching next month, Pilates is a wonderful (re)education for your posture and core strength. I loved being a part of her pre-qualification training last autumn – she’s a fantastic teacher and I’ve definitely noticed a difference in how I move. You can contact Claire here to book in.

Of course, a massage treatment or two never goes amiss. It’s an essential part of my routine to keep myself flexible and prevent injury as I get back to exercise. I’d thoroughly recommend it if you need a bit of a boost to prepare your muscles. A little “me” time - whether for your mind or your mobility - goes a long way!

Since Claire and I are able to offer multiple massage disciplines, treatments are always tailored to focus on what’s right for your body. Whether you want to relax, rejuvenate or re-energise, give us a call to book in. We’ll help you to keep those winter blues at bay!

Coming Soon!

Pilates isn’t the only addition to our services this year. I’m currently training in the ancient art of reflexology. It’s been fascinating learning about how it can help relieve pain, ease anxiety, reduce stress and help your body re-balance. I will be continuing my training over the next few months and look forward to offering treatments later this year. Watch this space!

Meanwhile, Claire will be continuing to develop her Pilates skills and specialisms, including post-natal Pilates.

That’s all for now. What does 2020 have in store for you? Whatever your goals, we look forward to helping you look after your body along the way.
