It's Official: Pilates with Claire is Ready for Launch!

I’m so excited to be launching my Pilates classes! The last year of intensive training, essays and assessments has been such an inspiring experience. I can’t wait to share my knowledge with you!

My qualification is through Body Control Pilates, who have been at the forefront of Pilates training for nearly 25 years. I learned so much from my wonderful teacher and the ladies on my course. Here’s a picture of us all from Day 1 – way back in January 2019!  

What’s Pilates all about?

Pilates is a low-impact activity and is suitable for everyone, not just athletes and gym-goers. It’s all about improving your posture, strength, flexibility and alignment. By focusing on those (often neglected) core muscles, it will help you’ll stand taller, prevent back pain and boost your mobility. If you’ve ever Googled Pilates, you might have seen some scary-looking moves – but don’t worry! Every exercise can be adapted to your ability.

The alignment and movement patterns you learn really improve the quality of your day-to-day life. So many of us spend time hunched over desks or walking around with poor posture – Pilates is an incredibly effective way to address the issues this can cause.

Sounds great! Where do I sign up?

I’ll be offering both classes and one-to-one sessions. Weekly Pilates classes will be at Warminster Football Club and the Pear Pod (within Harridges). One-to-one sessions will be held in the McFarlane Massage Therapy treatment room or at Warminster Osteopathic Clinic.

What’s next?

This qualification is just the beginning – later this year I’ll be starting qualifications in pre-natal Pilates, post-natal Pilates and Pilates for lower back pain. Looking forward to it already!
